Ferrari Club of America 50th Anniversary Celebration

Spanning Summer 2012 through Fall 2013. To see when the 50th Anniversary Relay 599 is coming to your Region or Chapter, please log in to the Member’s Area and see the page “50th Anniversary Relay Schedule”.

Our 50th Anniversary celebration – “Passione” kicked off at Concorso Italiano 2012! This was the launch of our 599 Relay car as it began a 20,000-mile journey across North America to visit every Region and Chapter and to both the Palm Springs and Elkhart Lake Annual Meets.

The relay is led by a special, one-off Ferrari 599GTB-HGTE built specially for Passione. This unique Ferrari, the very last North America specification 599 produced, has been made possible by Jim Taylor, FCA member and Patrono Principale of the FCA’s 50th Anniversary, and by Ferrari North America. The 599 has a unique paint scheme and interior design, as well as custom graphics representing the 50-year history of the FCA.

Many thanks go to member and patron Jim Taylor of TaylorMade Marine who will be the 599’s proud owner once the journey is complete. Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House

When a child is sick, parents need a team of support to help them recover. Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®), a non-profit 501(c) 3, wants to give children the best chance of recovering – and that means having their parents, siblings, and sometimes grandparents nearby for love and support. For example, the Ronald McDonald House® program allows families to access specialized medical treatment by providing a place to live near the hospital at little to no cost. At the House, families are supported at the most basic level, with a roof over the heads. And, then the staff and volunteers take it further to ensure the families are provided emotional support and a place to re-energize after a draining day at the hospital. In turn, these families can be there with love and support to help their child heal faster and cope better.

In addition, the Ronald McDonald Family Room® provides parents a place to rest and rejuvenate within the hospital, often steps from their child’s bedside. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® program takes access to health care one step further, by providing quality medical, dental and health education to vulnerable children, right in their own communities.

Ronald McDonald House Charities can’t make medicine taste better or take away painful treatments, but they can make sure their family is nearby to provide love and support. Please join us in helping to strengthen the 4.5 million families RMHC and its local Chapters serve a year. For more information visit rmhc.org.

“We are looking forward to working with the Ferrari Club of America,” said Marty Coyne, president and CEO, Ronald McDonald House Charities.  “When your child is sick, nothing else should matter excepting getting them well.  Thanks to passionate supporters like the Ferrari Club of America, our families can be given the strength they need to ensure they can give 100% of themselves to their child.”

Without our volunteers and donors, there would be no family support, shoulder to cry on or peace of mind for our families.  Find out how you can make a difference at rmhc.org.
